Ladislav Losifovich Trakal (1873 - 1951) was active/lived in Ukraine, Czech Republic.  Ladislav Trakal is known for Modernist art, symbolism, graphic art, illustration, designer, teacher.

Ladislav Yosypovych Trakal (Czech. Ladislav J. Trakal, Russian. Russian Ladyslav Iosifovych Trakal) June 27, 1873 Debrzh, Mlada Boleslav District, Austria-Hungary – June 1, 1951 Prague, Czech Republic) – Ukrainian and Czech painter, graphic artist, illustrator, designer and teacher.

One of the most prominent representatives of Ukrainian and Czech modernism. Pioneer of Ukrainian symbolism. One of the founders of the Kharkiv Art School.

As a teacher, he trained a whole galaxy of famous artists such as: Vassili Yermilov (1894—1968), Boris Kosarev (1987—1994), Vaclav Fiala (1896—1980), Georgiy Tsapok (1896—1971).
